I have taught and tutored basic arithmetic, trigonometry, algebra, biology, and chemistry from the elementary to undergraduate level. My favorite subject is chemistry. I use versatile tutoring techniques learned by teaching in the classroom and in private tutoring. While in class, I cover the basics by including practice problems and stimulating critical thinking with group work. Privately, I can look into the student's weaknesses and study habits, and then tailor a method to help them succeed in class. I stress practice and repetition is key when learning and these help to minimize mistakes. Students can build new insight and see how certain methods can be applied to different situations.A graduate of UC Davis, I have a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and minored in Psychology. I will pursue a master's in Physician Assistant Studies. I've taught and tutored at Chadbourne Elementary School, Hopkin's Junior High School, and Yocha Dehe Wintun Academy. Learning new things is what I love most. I'll study scientific articles, including ones about scientists finding ways to treat Alzheimer's, Schizophrenia, and other diseases. I also play badminton, mountain hike, and build and detail Gundam plastic models. I've even started a plastic model club in Davis.
